New Tag

I did not get a good shot of the new tag. I was cold.

I stop here a lot in the winter on my ride home to warm up and drink dispenser machine coffee.

Also, I like the occasional things people leave at tags, geocache style. I got a bag of apples once, left by SSM. TMlee left something cool in the RI and eastern ct game. I happened to have something on me that I could leave, so I did. It is NOT as cool as those examples but it is something that you dont find in the US so frequently. Find it in here:

and look up on the rafter here, on the horizontal inner bar against the vertical one. Dont expect something crazy, its value is literally 0.2782 US dollars:

Thanks Mark,

I am still a little on the fence looks wise, but having only ever had naked bikes, sitting behind it is revelatory in the winter.

I appreciate the looks from a retro point of view. Before there were RTs there were Vetters and Hannigans on R75s. The Hannigan looks much better than the Vetter imho.

maybe putting on the highway was a mistake for a winter post. maybe. I did check, and the little tag nicknack I left is still there. It did not fly away in a snowstorm.

I was thinking of grabbing it on the 1st after I got the NWCorner and Duc tags, but I did not feel like riding out to 91. Are you still riding the BMW to work??

I have only had to go up to storrs twice since the holiday and I have, embarrassingly, driven both times. Though once was yesterday and I am willing to admit that no matter the road conditions Im probably not going to ride to work in -5.

I tried to get this tag today but I couldn't find it. I thought it was on Rt 15, in Wallingford obvously. I was up and down that road from Meriden to North Haven. There is a pair of rest ares on Rt15 in North Haven, but they are under repair and I couldn't see if those were the right ones or not. There aren't any rest stops in Wallingford on 15 that I could find anyway. Oh well.

Tag still open.

Tag got!

Pic taken from the other direction because I passed the first parking lot and wasn't about to ride the wrong way back up the offramp.

There was an Israeli coin stashed up in the rafter:

New tag is here:

Which was the location of the North American tag until I scooped it up today as well

I will be adding the coin to the collection of items accompanying the NA tag egg.
