In 46 weeks you will be WFO and this all be a distant memory! Good luck with the mending until then.

In 46 weeks the discomfort you have at the moment will be just a memory when you are on the start of the 2012 Dakar, and you will be as excited as a kid in a lolly shop.

PS. Get your fill of junk food and ice cream now, because in 3 months you'll be in training again.

Thanks guys... x

In the meantime, I was just nerding around the net, and found these photos from the 2010 edition - you might have seen them before, but they are worth another look - the Boston Globe seemed to collect some spectacular images together...

ps. check out the leg of the guy under the car in the 4th photo... nasty!

Always good shots on the Globe's Big Picture. Glad to see them do it again this year as well.

Forgot about that pic of the guy's leg from last year...

Also forgot about the pic of Tamsin Jones and Patsy Quick near the bottom. World famous, those two

OK, Jen, I've tried 3 times to imbed a timer in a thread on another site and can't get it to work. :

What's the trick?

It could depend on if the website/forum accepts html code? On a website, you normally have a box/window that you past the html code into and it pops up like the graphic below... likewise if it's a forum, but some forums don't accept certain links to outside sources (sorry, I don't really know the technical ins and outs, but that is the basic gist of things...)

If you quote this post, then copy the html below, it should work - unless where you're trying to paste it doesn't accept/display html?

Jx

code (you have to quote it to see the actual code):
