Come on Ken, out on the patio in the dark is good, but wouldn't it be more memorible if you did it with one hand tied behind your back, or blindfolded?

Table
I'll be glad to shoot some images of the table but I call this version 1.0. Once I built it I discovered what I would change.

Well, once I got really good at swappin em, I'd stop in a parking lot on the way to elementary school, borrow a hack saw and a pair of pliers from the 5+10 and install a new chain right damn there. Took about five minutes and I never even got my hands dirty.
![]() I liked changin em chains so much that when I was in High School, sometimes I'd carry a spare chain with me and swap one out just for shits and giggles! Then, one day I met this kinda cute house wife out ridin her old mans /5 (The one with the big jugs.) and she said her chain was rattlin and asked me if I'd lube her chain up for her. Her hubby weren't home and didnt seem to like lubin that much anyway, so I fallered her to her house and.... Never mind.

Close fit
When you installed a duplex chain was the master link this close to the engine block?

Where did that chain come from? I've never seen one with split rollers, and would think hard before using one.

The rollers aren't split, that's stamping marks or whatever from manufactoring. It's the Iwis chain that you buy from dealers etc.

I agree that would fix any possible clearance issues. BUT there is no way to do that! The masterlink is too long and the chain won't give enough to to get it behind the chain and in. No recess is deep enough. Just doesn't work! From behind works fine on the single row chain but not on the duplex.

That's interesting. I took a clip out of a /6 motor on my bench it's the fishtail type and it measures .941" I also measured a new two clip link out of a Iwis chain on the shelf and it measures .973. So there is some varience. A small amount may be our measuring and calipers though.
