This is an OLD, OLD road. It is obvious that it has been dug out of the flatland and gently rolling hills it was built through.
Dug out again, and again. And when it got muddy, it was dug out again.
It has become a 6-7 deep scar through the landscape

The views are really nice

Love these roads, good for you, found some without snow.

I knew we were kindred spirits. I love old buildings and it breaks my heart they have been abandoned. It really bothers me when I see those lovely old schoolhouses used for storing farm equipment, but if their used for storage they usually have a good roof, Buildings go to he?? if they don't have good roofs.. I Dream of restoring one to use a home.

Man did I need that. I'm practically glowing. It wasn't as cold as I expected, but I did get home and went straight in for a long, hot shower. I just got done with the token phone call to the folks. I think that shot of whiskey sounds like a great idea!

Nice ride today guys. I'll get some pictures up here in a bit.

Nice photo's

I had a soccer match to go to at noon, and I knew you guys would start posting great photo's so I took a photo of the ride I was on most of the day!

But there was sun, so I can't complain...

No, it's still on there! It just goes around the front, it's my engine crash protector

and if you didn't notice, my ride is orange! all I need is a ADV sticker on it and I'm good to go

I feel downright human again. That was a great day!

I had some responsibility today. I have a little paper cutout to carry around, it's for the Flat Stanley Project for my cousin's son in Michigan. With this and some other plans I have, I think he'll end up with the best pictures and the most interesting history. But I might not be completely objective on that.

Not just at Celilo....but over looking the location of the Old Celilo Falls, that sadly are no more.
I'm glad we went back to Moody Rd. today, I missed it on Friday's journey.

Below pic is from inside the old Fairbanks School. It looks like it's still used as a Grange today,
it's pretty well taken care of, with visitor's graffiti all over the chalkboard.
