The full story is found on this vid, I'll take questions and explain stuff later if anyone is interested.

Yep, it is a huge country. Recently I rode for 5 weeks, knocking over 8000k and most of that was dirt.

Here is a link to that adventure:

And then we have the snow country

Hope you like them.

Loved the vid; and I know it wouldn't be worth it for your short loop. But I'm seriously considering this for me.

Riding Australia? If your interested, I've posted a heap of vids on our trips in Australia, just use the search, type in edog200 and 'threads started by". There's desert, hill climbs, or just nice easy cruising stuff.

Would love to, I have quite a few relatives in Maitland so maybe one of these days, its been 20 yrs. Thanks for the heads up on your experiences, I'll take some time and go over it and take some notes.

As for reference to the rack/saw, over here we've had lots of kill on are lodge-pole pine from a pine beetle infestation. So after wind-storms it really gums up access roads, so its either fire crews etc... like your video, or guys on quads with saws clearing access. So I figure packing a saw is viable solution.
