Exactly....the second race was run as near to perfect, the rear tyre was shot with one lap to go but he had enough on Melandri to just get there, pretty good riding in my book.

Hopefully the factory support will mean that he won't have a repeat of the Miller round this season.

Davies could have won that thing, but he thought better about the risk. He ran a fast penultimate lap to arrive on Scassa, but then checked up and let his teammate go.

Ya think? Looked more like he decided to not bowl over his teammate and take them both out, and then couldn't close the gap again to make another attempt.

Maybe that is a better explanation. All I know is he closed up on the penultimate lap and then gave up a gap again racing to the flag. I was only watching the live timing, so I don't really know what happened. He was close enough to win and then didn't.
