I am fed up with my Shoei Hornet DS. I have nothing good to say about that helmet. Terrible drag and noisy, foggy, no room for speakers, slightest bump the visor screws break off and of course pricey.

The Hornet is size XL and I have a hot spot on my forehead. I bought a Vemar Eclipse in carbon fiber no less because the Hornet is so bad at speed. I quickly found out why I got a $750 MSRP helmet for $300 though. The face shield has 1/4 turn fasteners that won't stay on. The Vemar is size XXL but I don't expect it is a popular comparison.
Hello Lee. No plans for a pinlock at the moment.

More delivery info

Have some delivery info. Mostly good news, a shipment arriving to the importer's warehouse in WI this week and another larger one hitting the 5th or 6th of April. These were initially supposed to be all solid colors, but actually some black Urban Camo, white Strike, and a very small amount of red, and silver, Strike are included. Basically all colors are good except hi-viz yellow, those are delayed another 2-3 weeks. FWIW they will be fairly limited for supply, and will likely sell out.

i've been dealing with these folks waiting on a XXL helmet. customer service has been well above and beyond what i'd expect for a relatively small purchase. customer care and attention is obviously top notch. thanks

+1

The feed back on the helmets is great.

I'm waiting on a XXL Silver one to fit my big mellon also.... At least its raining here, I haven't been riding much. It would be so nice to have a decent fitting DS lid in this price range. The new features over the 37 version is icing on the cake.... This is better than waiting on "Christmas".

Tell them to forget flat black... we need silver and white maybe even black.

Aren't the white and gloss black the most popular? None of my buddies ride with flat black. I have a flat white Shark RSI... its a pain to keep clean. The paint has a primer feel to it.... is the AFX flat black paint like that? Showing every greasy or sweaty finger print..

Thanks for the update though..

People actually wear hi viz???.... makes my head look too fat and I bet it won't match my Olympia...

I do wear a hi viz jacket some times, the thing blinds you just from the reflection in the mirrors...

I'll shut up now, I'm on the puter ordering ATV parts for my Dad. The regulator died it seems. Don't work too hard... I see you just sent me the ship notice for the pressure suit.. Thanks, I hope it fits on my plump body..

Are you able to compare this helmet to an icon alliance? I have the icon but there is way to much forehead pressure for me. Thank you.

My Large silver came today. It fits my melon perfectly

Fit and finish is superb and dare I say, it is one of the most comfortable helmets I've ever worn-very light. Shield is very clear with no noticeable distortions.

Three days from order to delivery WOW!

Now to try it out on the road/trail.

Thanks Atomic.

Well, I'm in on a black medium when they come in.

I hope they have improved over the 37 as much as I've been hearing!
