Pics of all colored decals.

I finally managed to find the time to try all the different colored decal kits on the bike today.
I will do a bit of photoshop work in coming days to (attempt to) turn my bike into a U.S spec blue and black jobby to give more of an idea what they will look like.
I put aside three full set's of the red, black, and yellow kits for our mate Bundu's silver bike in SithIfrika (+ a spare set for a friend) so once he gets them we will all get a chance to see the different color combo's on the silver bike.
I am still trying to locate a Raven bike to get pics as soon as possible, so anyone who has one and would like to put their hand up send me an e-mail..

On with the pics.

Red on the Blue/silver bike????????????? Not my cup of tea but some may like it... Would look wild on the Raven or Silver, or White bikes

Yellow...? - I prefer this over the Red on my bike but again, I think it will look great on the Raven and Silver bikes,,, Maybe even the White.

You have all seen the Black but I will show them again in the spirit of competition. Note: These are the early prototype decals and have changed slightly now in production... It's really only the thickness of the vertical lines that have changed + a lot more solid black ink.

I firmly believe that this is the universal color for just about all bikes, except perhaps the Raven... But then again???

But WAIT - Along came Silver out of no where....
Maybe we have a contender for the ever universal Black decals???
This is actually a metalic Silver base vinyl that is nearly the exact color of the side panels.
Should look the goods on anything, except perhaps the Silver bike... But then again???

Check out all the casualties of this dress-up session on the door

In closing - One porn shot wallpaper of the bike in it's natural environment.

Thanks for checking in. Hope you got something out of it.

P.S - Decals can be got on line at the Motorradgarage.com.au website - Specifically: http://www.motorradgarage.com.au/cat...sort=2a&page=2

Greg.

Anyone using highway pegs? I saw a pic of Gregs bike with hwy pegs on the factory crash bars. I am interested in hwy pegs and curious if they would work with the sw-motech crash protector?

Greg,

I have a question about the Carbon Exhaust system the you offer. Where I am located, we unfortunately have strict emissions laws. I'm thinking that my Tenere is going to reflect this with likely several modifications to suit this requirement. So can you let me know if you had to make any changes to the bikes tuning with the Carbon system? I'm thinking I will purchase and try it if you did not encounter too big of reaction from the change in the exhaust setup.

Thanks for your input.

I have made no changes at all. I dont know that you can at the moment until someone comes out with an ECU modification programme/hardware.
I will be getting a Power Commander5 when I can get around to it, but only so that I can modify/control the fueling to go to the next level with exhaust size and design.
I run my carbon exhaust with the baffle in most of the time now as we are two up a lot. It does not seem to have had any effect on fueling with no flat spots or anything missing.

Greg.

My poor attempt at photoshopping my bike to look like the U.S spec blue/black model with the different colored decal kits.

Greg.

Not poor at all. I think you did a great job with the U.S. model. I believe I made a good choice with the yellow on the blue/black.

Thanks!

Me likey the red ones for me raven bike. Greg, I noticed you had the passenger grab rails off in some of the pics and on in others. I also saw in the pics that Al Jesse had of his bags for the Super Tenere that the grab rails are off for them. Some don't like having to do that for his bags. I won't have a passenger, but for tieing things down etc are there pros and cons you see to taking these grab rails off for day to day use (if no passenger as in my case)? Thanks in advance.

JD, I am also traveling solo and will remove the pilon seat and replace with this.

I plan on taking off the OEM hand rails and using the rack and tie downs on top of my cases. This may work for you?

Thanks for your help Greg. I will go with it. I anticipate some change but for the better.

Also, what tires are you running in these pictures?

Best Regards...

Yep, I've seen that touratech set up. I may well go that route too. But I will look at the OEM pillion replacement setup and see if I want to use as it is or go with the touratech. I may use the OEM pillion with the SWMotech rack but still not sure. I am trying to decide between different cases (Trax, Jesse etc.) & price is part of the issue too.

I am also planning on removing the passenger seat and lowering the rear rack as a place for my soft luggage tailpack that I used full time on my KLR. I don't really understand why one would have to spend the $$ for the Touratech rack when you already have a flat area under the seat with tie down spots. Seems like it will work just fine like that.

Check it out in this video: Link

Question

The only draw back that I can think of is that the original is just plastic. Might not hold up to a heavy load. Does any one out there know if any of the aluminum rear racks can be droped to the "low" position like the factory one can?

Hey JDP.
I had removed the passenger grab handles because I am currently (slowly) working on a product that will replace the complete underseat cowl and rear rack components with one sturdy rack unit.

I have been riding a lot with the wife lately so the handles are normally on. I was just lazy when it came to taking these pics and did not replace them.

The rear is a Heidenau K60 140/80/17 and the front is Mefo Explorer 100/90/19.
