Picked them up two Friday's ago out in Annapolis from two different sellers off Craigsist. It was so hard to keep that secret for a week that we got bikes and that Dana signed up for class.

I don't have pictures right now but on the warm up lap through the woods Dana rips the side number plate off and smashes the air box. Andrew got us some Duct tape and Wattsy sealed everything back up so we could continue on with the day.

I'm just trying to teach the bike how to do things so it's easier for her when she does ride it...

Well, well, well what a day!

So starting the day in good spirits. The "warm up" lap was a bit more than I had imagined. It was my first time on a non-dirt trail/jeep trail. Needless to say, about 1/4 way got a bit over-faced at the first big uphill, and decided to bail out on a stump that was cut off at 8" about the ground.

As my kinetic energy dissipated, I laid there in a heap of broken parts the worst of which was a broken air box.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group had clearly lapped us..but I did make it out alive. Wastsy is incredible resourceful and was able to patch the "dittle air box" back good enough to continue the day.

The day was rough though, besides my air box we took out a KTM needing a new spark plug (and a HUGE kudos to Watsy to loaning the downed KTMer with his ride). Next on the carnage list was a shift level on another bike, and another incident that I can't remember now. Honestly, the little waist pack tool kit is quite remarkable!

There was no lack of spills, thrills and falls. From above, I fell on the warm up lap and also one the first exercise (slow ride). A few bikes literally part company with their riders on the gate training/acceleration training. We were lined up 4 across, elbows nearly touching then LAUNCH! Well, good thing I was a 125cc against the 2-stroke boys and thus way SLOW. Next thing I knew a bike was flying across my lane.
Joints4sale had a rather enthusiastic day, and may have won the perseverance award. Had a bit of a rough go with careening into the ruts exercise.

We even got in the infamous Blaster to take a spill on the circle countersteer/drifting. I believe Badguy and EOD3MC might have joined him on that one too.

Ending the day, EOD3MC decided to tumble +/- 40 feet on the last exercise of the day accelerate, brake, corner exercise.

All in all, we all lived to see Sunday.

For those interested, the log exercises are mid-morning about 1030ish.

PS I learned a new guy term today--"Nuttered" regarding one transition from standing to sitting and then cornering hard without hurting oneself...
