Hey Everyone!

Thanks for all the love here on the lid and our service.

Of course I go out of the country for 4 days (with no internet) and the Helmets finally ship.

I am ecstatic that you all got your lids? They came and went so fassssst.
There is another wave coming as well.

Is anyone having any issues I can help with? Right now the XL's are left in stock.

Anthony

Sizing Note FYI

Just stopped by Atlanta BMW -- always a costly mistake.

Trying on C3s I discovered the L was comfortable to the point of almost loose.

The M was snug but no apparent hot spots even with a helmet liner under it.

My C2s were both L and I remember they started off with the snug feeling when I bought them five and six years ago. Sean at Atlanta BMW says other C2 wearers have been going down a size in the C3.

I walked out with the M in Hi-viz. This thing is BRIGHT in sunlight.

Congrats on new lid - nice piece of kit

Individual experiences will vary - I am perfect fit size L for both c2 and c3.

And yes - love the high viz

Signed up for notification on Revzilla, but never heard a peep. Would you advise when the next batch arrives?

Thanks

Hey Motorman,

It may have been that whatever size you had signed up for never arrived at all. We send out notifications at the SKU (size/color) level.

Let me know what else we could do in the meantime.

Anthony

One more opinion on the C3: I LOVE IT!

I had Shoei helmets for years but they always gave me a "hot spot" in the middle of my forehead.

Switched to a Schuberth C2 which fit perfectly, but was kind of a hassle to use with the latch on the side.

Got a C3 which fixes everything that was wrong with the C2. Easy to open and close, bigger sun shade, feels lighter and smaller, PERFECT!

Yay Schuberth!

Installed the pinlock last night. Removal and installation of the visor is the easiest of any helmet I've ever worn. Absolutely love that feature!

The snow finally stopped falling yesterday so I was able to give the helmet a try this morning in nippy temps. The temps ranged from 16 to 24F. The vent at the top of my head lets a LOT of air in, really noticeable at low temps as it gave me a cold stripe up there. With the top vent closed and the front vent open, I had a little fogging at stop lights, but it went away the moment I started moving again. With the top vent open even just a bit, there was no fogging at all.

On the Interstate at speeds up to 85mph there was no buffeting. The helmet is noticably quieter than my old Nolan, but above 65mph there is still too much noise to do without earplugs. With earplugs it was a very pleasant ride.

I really like this helmet!

BTW: Where is the serial number located? Do you actually have to take the cheek pads out to find it?

How to determine shape

Any suggestions on how to determine shape? round, oval, long oval, narrow oval?
Other than a set of large calipers to measure the front-to-back and side-to-side axes?
Any tricks?

Couple of questions

I'm on the fence. Can anyone relate the noise level of the C3 to a Shoei RF1000, at various speeds? Also, hows the sound of the bluetooth module for it? I have a Autocom in my Shoei and have never been too impressed with it (thinking of adapting some of those fancy new helmet speakers mentioned in Vendors).

The functionality of the helmet features and the Bluetooth module would be great.

The above statements are inop, at least for me. After some consideration went with the L, FWIW.

Hey Anthony, I just fell into this thread and have been really interested in the C3. I wear a large Aria, HJC, Schoie, would that also translate to a L for the C3? Pls email me at grego1@optonline.net. Is there an adv sale or group buy going on too?

Hey Big-O,

The Schuberth is an animal of all its own. I consider it an intermediate oval. As far as sizing, check out our specific sizing video. The bottom line is that you will need to measure as perfectly as you can and then use the size chart - only going up if you are exactly between sizes.

Here is our Schuberth C3 sizing Video.

Also Schuberth walks softly and carries a ball-peen hammer :-) No online discounts on these guys - we try to make up with that with our expertise and policies which are all extremely rider friendly. (Free Shipping, Free Exchange, No Restocks etc etc etc)

Let me know your thoughts.

Anthony
