Have fun you guys, would love to join you but I have a couple projects I need to get done today while the weather is good. I was supposed to be on my way to Sisters for work this morning for the entire weekend but it was postponed until Sunday. So it leaves me today to get topsoil in our new raised bed. Got to get some stuff planted! I'll be thinking of ya while I'm shoveling.

Yeah so do I, or rather, I have a thousand projects to do while the weather is good.

But I don't really want to do any of them today
I just wanna ride.......

Have fun playing in the dirt

Maybe that was you guys we saw in Lyle on our way out of town. My buddy and I were both on F800gs--mine is lava and his is white. We went out hwy 14 to the Dalles then to Maupin, Bakeoven, 97, Pony Butte rd to Ashford then Muddy Creek road thru Rajneeshpuram and back to 97 and 14 to home.

Sorry not may pictures but I'll try and post a couple tomorrow. The highlights were definitely Pony Butte to Ashford and Muddy Creek road. Wanted to link that up with Apple Jam's last ride but ran out of time. We'll be back.

Edit: Here are a few photos.

Interesting geological feature near the Rajneesh ranch

Glorious 4/23

AJ and I got out for a little spin around the neighborhood yesterday, nicest day out so far this year, just absolutely perfect weather for riding.

We made our way up to Appleton - this road is a BLAST - super smooth and twisty

LOTS of snow up thar!

Heading down to Klickitat from Appleton, looking south

north

At the bottom of the valley we stopped at the ever popular Icehouse.
It was so peaceful and warm, just so darn pleasant, we spent a bit there by the river.

We headed up to Glenwood on an "unknown to us" road. Stopped here to consult the "map" and starting hearing an elk bugle.....

sure enough.....

Might be able to afford this one!

The road eventually turned to this......well it wasn't wet, so onward!
...10 miles of rough stuff and 1 decent water crossing later we emerged back onto pavement. How's yer ass today AJ?

After some killer burgers in Glenwood, we made our way back down to the Columbia...pulled in here - I had never seen this little spot

what he was taking a picture of

That's all I have....Thanks for sharing the day with me AJ, it was AWESOME!

Looks like a nice ride and you even found a flower.

I like it, it looks like sunshine.

Weird. Only lets me add one photo.

Just outside of ashford, on a hilltop, tin can graveyard. Judging from the size of the cans and that they had been opened with a churchkey, someone drank a LOT of beer.

Creek crossing entering Rajneesh ranch from the south.

Great pics Soy. You were in my back yard. I've always thought that rock formation on Cherry Creek Ranch was very unusual. The barn you passed shortly after that is pretty amazing in that it is built without nails, all wood pegs. FWIW, it's Ashwood, not Ashford.

Whoops. Sorry about that. I assume that's a mining town no? We saw some tailings around there. Sure a beautiful place.
