im gonna assume its the same as the e-models. you have to replace the left side foot peg mount. buy one from a '04 SXC, then you can instal what ever you want. unfortunately it's not cheap, especially when you add in the foot pegs, but i LUV my fastways.....

you can see the size diff between those and the rally pegs. the rally pegs are bigger than the stock pegs.

Thank's Laramie,
Should the right side be a direct fit?

I believe I have the original one still. If I do you can have it for the cost of a six pack.

I'll check when I get home from work and post up, eh ......

Thanks G-Funk. I just need an OEM cable for show and tell that Motion Pro can use to duplicate. PM sent.

stumble at idle when warm

I posted this last fall on the BST 40 section but I have since replaced the carb with two others with the same results and so I feel I can rule that out.

My 99 LC4 E starts fine and runs good when cold. After its warmed up fully and ridden around a little it starts to stumble at idle and occasionally die. Especially if you try to feather the clutch and go slow but it also does it just sitting there in nuetral. It starts right up each time after it dies but then does it again right away (assuming its stull warm). When I let it sit for a while it starts to run normal but quickly begins the stumble again (as it gets warmed up faster since it didn't sit long enough to become completely cold). Im thinking it has to be electrical. The plug is new and I just cut the tip off the plug wire and screwed the cap back on with no results.

Anyone experience the same thing? Im am all ears.

Or does anyone wanna buy this bike as is for a discount in the Seattle area?

Lot of oil smoke when I cold started the engine

Hi, mates!
I have posted this issue at the thread "KTM 640 Adventure owners, sign in please...", but had no luck.

Following the same procedure as always, I have cold started the engine with the choke set to the level which maintain 3.000rpm, until the engine gains 1 line in the temp scale.
Then my bike started to produce that smelly grey oily smoke we all know someday must happen... but not with 45.000Kms on the clock...

I immediately released the choke, despite I was sure the smoke will keep going out of the exhaust, but... it actually stop. Then I put the engine @4.000rpm and no smoke. Then I put it @5.500rpm, this time riding to my office, and nothing!
1 week later it has never appeared again.

What the heck is going on??? I know there must be a reasonable explanation, and I hope it does not include a severe damage...

What do you think, guys?
Thanks in advance for your help...

Since It's done this with 3 diff carbs, Check valve clearence. Temp related problem could also be an intermittant open coil.

Im going to try to check the coil(s) tonight. Laramie posted what the ohms should be for me on TT. I have never done this and dont even know where to put the meter to test. Anyone have pictures?

Check the valves too, I read somewhere it can be the issue if the LC4 dies or is hard to start when hot

How old is the battery? My Duke had the same problem when the battery was almost dead. I raised the needle one clip and replaced the battery at the same time so I'm not sure which solved it but everything is back to normal now.
