800 GS Logo Wanted - Page 3

DiabloBlanco has some 3" black reflective logos in the works for his 798 (650) that he's gonna paint silver. Now I hear mepete64 is looking to do something similar with his bike.

Come on down ADV FF! I just bought some fresh Abita Amber & Turbodog Friday! It'll be long gone by the summer but, I will do my duty & replenish the supply for whenever you make it here.

I heard from Diablo who did put his on and Mrpete is working on something a bit custom with the install of his. I too am looking forward to pics on those bikes since they are not the yellow.

The project that was the basis for starting this thread is at the finishers right now & should be ready later today. I will start a new thread though for all of the farkles I am throwing on my bike....

Phase II of farkles is about 70% done. Then it gets a lot more pedestrian.

Sorry for the blatant tease, but I am pretty excited about it and would rather let pictures do the talking. Should have something up Monday.

When I purchased my yellow 800 gs I did so with one thing in mind...paint it silver!! I liked the black tank on the yellow gs compared to the dark grey on the grey gs. It should be painted when I get back from Mexico. I am going to use Black GS reflective logos that I purchased from Troy. So it will be bright BMW reflective silver...black lower tank...black GS logos. I might have someone pinstripe, around the GS logos, in a thin silver outline of the GS letters. We will see.
By the time I get done with buying all the "necessary" parts for this bike it would have been cheaper to go buy an '09 mini-cooper convertible for $33,000!!

My local Signs Now shop has a yellow vinyl that is pretty close and I want to have something (Motowalt) made up to go on my vario bags...

I'd like to get the red,purple,blue design from the 30th anniversary GS bikes.
the lower decal could be without the white lettering that says "30 years GS"
