I've already ordered a set for the G450X. It's nice to be able to run the same tire on the F800 as well. I wasn't impressed with the Metzler 6-Days in the mud. I hope the Pirelli's will be better. The distributor that the local place uses doesn't have them yet, but there's a bit of life left in the 6-Days yet.

Although I have no experience with this particular tire, every truly aggressive knobbie I have run has sacrificed mileage for traction. I wouldn't think this is a long distance tourer either. If you got 2500 miles, I'd be impressed.

The original K60 I had went 7000 miles and had more tread left when I switched to the Big Block. That was the best tire I've ever run on my bike but they've now ruined it with the center tread.
The Big Block has been fine but I'm not expecting many miles out of it. Now it's time to try something else. This will be it when the BB wears out.

I regularly get 3,000 or more out of TKC's. Even if I only get 2,500, so be it for a good tire that only $120! |

Yes. The tire in not available stateside yet.
OPINION: Not really worried about when though, as Pirelli have their shit together unlike some other tire manufacturers. *cough*heiden*cough*nau*cough*cough.... When Pirelli is ready to supply the US they'll actually do it! The Griz screwed with this post 05-10-2011 at 11:27 AM Reason: OPINION |

You're happy to pay $120 on an unavailable tire, even if it only lasts 2,500 miles. I got 11,000 miles off of my last two Heidenau 140s that cost me $192. Math was never my strong suit, but that's not a puzzler.

And you wonder why you keep getting abuse on this forum. I'm not the one getting any abuse here WW! ![]() Some people just don't like that I speak with truth and facts instead of posting nothing but dick-swinging and trolling. You seem to be one of them. I'm willing to take some flak in order for good info to be on this forum, even if you don't like it. Now go back to your beloved K60 thread, and I'll leave the K60 thread alone by not posting the truth that no one wants to hear in it anymore. |

Bummer. Bought this tire yesterday - hadn't looked at new tread. Visual is less exciting than predecessor.

They're both not to market yet. How did you get one? Did you mean to say a 140/80-17 Heidenau K60? If so, the 140/80-17 Heidenau K60 does not have the solid center stripe like the 150/70-17 K60. |

Pirelli Scorpion Rally. Though the rear in this pic is a 140/80-18, it is still exciting to think this'll be available for our bikes in 150/70-17 soon. Front in the pic is a 90/90-21:

![]() Edit: You're wrong Griz. The new 140 Scout has the center stripe as seen on Apostolos' bike: HERE

The "Reinforced Carcass" means these will be a PIA to repair a flat tube like the BB? They do look good and the price is a bonus. Just wondering how much I will be swearing on the side of the road.
