Please tell me about your bike. I just got one identical to it. Mine is a '75. It is factory stock as far as I can tell. I am very interested in the bag setup on the rear of yours. I am in the northwest corner of Colorado and plan to ride the sagebrush on weekends and want to set mine up similar to yours. Any info would be a great help.

My first bike was a '78 XL250 bought new. That's nice country too. I was out west here yesterday with the mountains in view. I should have taken the camera.

M57, it's a 1975 XL 250. It's all stock except for the sprocket. I went to a 40 tooth sprocket to reduce my top end RPM's. I had to get shocks, rear tire and a new chain. It runs great. I'm not going to be motocrosing, just riding backroads/logging roads. I had to completely fabricate the frame for those saddlebags. It's pretty involved. To start, you will have to reposition the turn signals and mount them on the tailight bracket. Anyway, if you want, I can try detail it for you.

A current day ride on a bike that brings back many, many good memories. Perfect. Thank's for posting it up.
