Help !!!

Lonestar2112 is at exit 1 on I81 and the rear MEFO that we put on for the trip East shit itself. He has a "spare", - the takeoff Scorp - that will get him up here but he needs a motorcycle shop to get the tire changed.

Does anyone know of anything in the area or a little further up I81? Shop name, phone number, someone in the area who is home and has a tire changer would work too.

I'm also looking for a motel close to I81 in that area if anyone has a suggestion.

Thanks,

Not yet but a guy at Chaps gave me the number for Champion in Abingdon. We'll find out at 0900 tomorrow.

Atlas is closed on Wednesdays. He found a place at exit 14 and they swapped the tires. I'll start a thread tomorrow on the Mefo. It actually had knobs ripped off right down to the cords. Scary shit at 75 mph.

Bike is at the house and pix and thread will be up later (probably tomorrow). We're going to head to SMIBville so he can see his old stomping grounds.

The tire is scary Bob. Knobs look like they just de-laminated and were ripped off. Some spots had several missing, others were single knobs. The rest of the tire looks good and it shows great wear so I don't know what it was.
