I was sitting on my bike on the side of the road to take it. No zoom, just a little point and shoot camera. I did leave the bike running though.

Too bad the eagle congregation there happens during the winter. It's something to see 10 or 15 bald eagles in every large tree, and 30 or 40 in the air at any one time. Guess I'll have to dig out some of my old photos from a trip there in February and scan them into digital format so I can post them. We get a few showing up in Valdez in the spring, just before the salmon start returning. You can stand in one spot in downtown Valdez and see at least a dozen perched in trees, like this -

That pic was taken in Ketchikan a couple of years ago at this inlet
by the zip line area. My daughter lived there at the time and it was our first visit.
