I'm not going as a competitor but I am waiting to see if I end up down there in a support role.

Ultra cool, have you heard confirmation yet? And from what I've heard the PanAm boys do an excellent job of race support.

No, but have been given the unofficial "don't worry about it" from the US liaison rep. I'm waiting for an official acceptance before I push hard for sponsors and committing to Rally Pan Am.

Bak 2 Dak ?
Just a little update on the rebuild of the WR...
I can confirm that while this meagre collection of aluminium and carbon-fibre might not exactly be 'worth' the money, this little lot is beautifully made, and transforms the battered WR into something very sleek and sexy! ![]() It is so slim in comparison to the original fairing kit - and at least now I can fit a high fender (should I wish) without it fouling on full lock: ![]() ![]() Hmmmmm... looks familiar (especially that screen!): ![]() Complete with spare parts: ![]() The new '2012' front end really is a thing of beauty - it went together perfectly on the existing JVO front subframe, while the fit and finish of the new panels is excellent - infact it's almost good enough to leave unpainted... which if handy as I'll need every penny if I'm going back to South America in January... More pics and stuff as the (re)build continues... hell, I might even start a whole new thread! Toot toot! |
