South Pindos, Greece (Polithea, Trikala)

Afternoon ride with brother Thanasis to one of the most beautiful villages of the prefecture of Trikala Polythea. Travel from Trikala-Kalambaka-Diava-Kastania-Amarantos-Aspropotamos-Polithea.

Many options for coffee and food while it is advisable to be equipped with gasoline. From there you can continue to Desi-Pirra-Neraidochori-Pertouli-Elati-Pili and there are many intermediate destinations and routes.

Route Map

After the narrow bridge (Diava we turned right towards Kastania-Amarantos

We drank our coffee on the farm located just before Kastania

We drove at FANTASTIC path after Amarantos

We enjoyed the view

We visited the temple of the Holy Cross at Doliana

It started to rain and entered the tower Mantania ...

... to wear our raincoats

Ατ Polithea Thanasi's mother had prepared us AMAZING homemade food.

The weather in the region, even in summer, is moody

Νature at its best...

Thanasi's house, traditional and one of the most beautiful at the area, outdoors ...

...and indoors.

Return from the road Pertouli-Elati ...

... who even at night offers a beautiful sight.

Brother Thanasis thanks for the wonderful company and a big thanks to your parents for their hospitality.
