Pretty gauges thread... the most beautiful clocks ever?
Howdy--I was wandering around the streets of NYC on Sunday and came upon an old bike under a cover. The cover was locked on, but I got a snap of the gauges, and I love them
. My question is what the heck kind of bike is this? I think it's a 1960's Honda CB but searching hasn't turned up anything so I'm going to defer to you guys. Also, if you know of bikes with particularly beautiful gauges, I'd love to see them! Finally, and this is a bit shameless, so I'll take it down if it isn't supposed to be here, but the car spotting blog where to or three buddies and I put all the NYC car and motorcycle pictures we snap is Car Spotting NYC. . . nick2ny screwed with this post 06-23-2011 at 07:42 AM |

Couldn't source the OEM anti glare for my old R65 gauges ANYWHERE so I installed convex lenses from an online clock repair site. The OEM is not lightly frosted/matte like the non glare at glass shops but lightly pebbled/dimpled. The convex glass is naturally anti glare (reduces the sun to a little spec) and ended up looking much more "old school classic".

The most impresseive and beautiful would be the huge smiths clock on a Vincent. That is just truly impressive.

I recently bought an X-6 just because I thought the clocks and that flat bottomed headlight were cool. don't have a clue what I will do with it, but everytime I pass by it in the garage it makes me smile. JB

I can't link it directly, but here are the X6 gauges...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/2621875...n/photostream/ Still sad that I sold my T250... It is. I don't know if I would ever think of putting those in the 'most beautiful gauges' thread, however... |
