voltage regulator insulation query

Hi People

The VR on my 950 ADV failed awhile back & it got me wondering what would be the best to use between the VR & engine to protect it from exess heat - I drilled a few holes in the wing of the bashplate in front of it to provide more cooling but what would you recommend to put behind the VR to insulate it from engine heat:
