I actually think the orange ones look awesome... but they would have clashed with the CF on my bike (j/k)
If the white ones didn't turn yellow with age I would have likely gotten those because I like being able to see fuel level. As it is I kind of meter my fuel by usually only filling one tank (then I know I have ~6 gallons = ~200 miles). I only fill them both when I need it (400+ mile range). When people (non-motorcyclists) see my bike in person I think it can look a bit intimidating.. which can be bad when trying to make friends broken down in BFE Maybe I just need two giant smilie face stickers; one for each side? ![]() All that said.. if they came in blue I think I would have gotten blue ![]()

The finish is very dull and some edges and corners have small "tags" of plastic and small dents that look like knife notches. The gas caps have different keys for left and right, but I never have to lock them where I live and ride. They fit tight and they don't rattle, and there is very little "slosh". You CAN see the fuel level inside these Orange tanks. They look PERFECT to me. With the shiny stock tanks, even shod with knobbies, this bike got called a "street bike" by those that did not know what KTM is about. With these big Pumkin Orange Safari tanks, there is now no question what this bike's purpose in life is..... To take me a looooong ways into noooo-where. All the 80 & 90 year old men now stop and to talk to me, obviously jealous of the adventures they did not have when they were young. At every stop, I get "where you going?" and "where you from?", even when I'm 15 miles from home.

Nothing to see here.

An added bonus not mentioned is that the Safari tanks do not have those pesky front fairing inserts to fail when over torqued like the OEM tanks. I wish they weren't $ 1600, I'd already have a set. Maintenance and tank removal should be faster as well with less venting BS and front fairing/tank covers to mess with.

Is there a need for crash bars? Will crash bars fit over the safari? I dumped mine today and the crash bar worked pretty good as a pivot point to get the front pointed down hill.

Cant speak to the adventure safari, but i see no need to add bars to my SE with the Safari.

They seem pretty solid. Besides, the crashbars won't fit without modifications.

They crash really well, bars would just be a waste. I plough in regularly and barely a scratch on them. The very thick plastic side covers are tough as.

I think TT sells crash bars for these tanks. The stockers won't fit.
