Thanks I appreciate it. Its cracking on both sides and they are spreading out. the pins have also become loose. Its weird as to why this has happened. I have no idea why this has happened.

Just contacted Revzilla. New shield on the way. AWESOME SERVICE!.....I tell ya I was more than "slightly" bumbed out about paying for a $700 helmet and have this happen but the guy on the phone was first rate and very professional. Less than a few minutes on the phone and bam. New shield. Which is good because next week I ride to the MotoGP in Laguna Seca and I really needed it replaced.
Thanks Anthony. |

RevZilla and Schuberth looked into my leaking pinlock issue, and Patrick got back to me today. The theory is that my Dudley DooRight chin puts pressure on the wind collar (the little velcroed piece up front) which not only made closing the chin guard a complicated maneuver involving both thumbs and four fingers, but which also made it difficult to close the visor to the snap lock position. Plus since I had to remove the pinlock several times to wipe the water out, the small silicon seal was not as effective as new.
Patrick suggested removing the velcroed piece to give myself more clearance. As luck would have it, we had a pretty significant rain this afternoon and it seems to have made a difference. RevZilla is also replacing the pinlock in the hope that a newer silicon seal will prevent any recurrence of the leakage issue. The SRC dried out completely and is now working fine. Gawd I love these guys! ![]() Now if they could just tell me a trick to keep the damned visor up till 50mph or so...

I leave mine cracked open at the lowest setting. That way I get air in both the shield and the top vent. It was 104 here in Memphis yesterday and it worked great for me on the interstate doing 80 on my GSA. |

I'll second the great Mid South hot weather performance of the C3. On a three hour ride yesterday with the bike OAT showing 104 I was comfortable with the visor open to the first position. Well, the new Veskimo system also contributed to not dying in the brutal heat but the ventilation through the helmet certainly helped. Best helmet I've ever owned.

ADV discount?
wasn't there a discount for both the C3 and the Bluetooth package?
I am heading out on the 23rd for Paonia, Magruder, St. Joe River, and beyond and my C2 sun visor utterly failed on me tonight... heading west from Nevada City (4 hours from NC to Mendo, unheard of!) the sunvisor lever just went 'GRIND" and then it fell down on any bump, and I rode Orr's Spring Rd and there are a lot of bumps ![]() I have a XL C2, Euro 61, 7 5/8s what size C3 would I get? Can I get a discount for the Bluetooth now? if not, I wait a long while for that. I need this before the 23rd, damned if I am heading west from CO doing the bullpuck I had to do tonight. Thanks, guys, gals! Mendo

The visor opens up to about an inch at the first detent. It stays there until I close it. It provides a nice flow of air around my face to complement the flow over the top of my head.

Anthony -- if this is not normal, is there a way to tighten it up? Pete

Anthony,
What is the warranty on the C3 and SRC and how far along does Revzilla support the warranty before handing the customer off to Schuberth USA for repairs? I'm concerned about the shield and pinlock system and electronics failures in the SRC and not necessarily the helmet quality. Also want send a shout out to Chris for great customer service with my ABUS 8000 issue. Robert

I bought my C3 from Revzilla in May and found I was having an issue with the seal for the pinlock shield that came installed in the helmut. After writing Chris about my problem he immediately made it right! Kudos to Revzilla for being all about customer service.

Replacement pinlock shield. Part of the silicone seal was missing on mine.
