The gate at E. Camino Cielo is locked, but we can legally ride around it. We will have to do some old fashioned exploration for more dirt roads. Some of the other guys that have commented on E. Camino Cielo ride seem to know the location of good dirt roads.

I'm looking forward to our ride on July 30.

Another one , don't we have enough Orange in this group already. I guess I am going to have to go out and by another Honda, just to keep the non Orange numbers up.

Welcome to the west asylum. Plenty of rides. Be prepared, we like to break stuff. Bones, bikes it doesn't matter to us.

There are plenty of riding opportunities around here.

I know, that's why I moved here

And as for the orange color, I do plan on compensating with many other colors as well... Living in NYC didn't allow me to own more than one bike, but now with a 3 car garagre and an approving wife, the sky is the limit...

almost 600 miles for me. after the group broke off in santa barbara, john and i rode took the scenic route to ojai, afterwards, i explored a little bit the back roads between santa paula and moorpark. found a cool twisty highway and some lonely roads in the middle of nowwhere.

you guys rock. the weekend rides just keep on getting better.
I'm glad you all had fun, I hope that the routing info was helpful. Looking forward to some pics!

Finally some more big bike riders! I'm going to WMRS on 8/5 and will be doing big bike friendly trails. Going back to Kennedy Meadows too on 8/19 and know the big bike friendly trails now. I do Cleveland National Forest down here in OC but found some good trails up by you not too long ago on a RawHyde ride off the 138 I think; something called old ridge route or something in the Angeles forest. 23 miles of dirt fire roads ending up around Lake Hughes I think. Joel knows them much better than I do though.

randal, we missed the turn off since our ride leader was using the old fashion style, always looking for a sign at the corner. good i had your gps track, and we found the entrance after turning around. we owe you a few beer and appreciate you taking the time giving us advices.
