Just for fun, this was the morning following the break - no pain and in good spirits.
![]() IMO, Ned can use the downtime to get all of the stuff in order, paperwork-wise, sponsorship-wise etc. And, when he gets back on the bike, he'll have not only all that out of the way, but more importantly the hunger to ride that we all know a debilitating injury can bring back with a vengeance.

That's one serious van, aka "toy hauler." Is ther a business behind that rig, or is the business recreation? Either way, very nice.

Sidi Crossfires, and I'm darn glad I was. To have the full weight of the bike bear down on my foot when it's at an angle, and suffer no damage to ankles or toes, is pretty impressive to me.

Best of luck on a quick heal and a smooth path to Dakar.
The good thing is that your experiences make you. Now, anything less then a broken bone in Dakar and you'll shrug it off like a mosquito bite. Remember... Luck favors the Bold! Keep it Up! |

i had 2 bad "could of been worse" situations 2 weeks ago on the same day. one where my foot got twisted. the other where i landed next to boulder and smashed the bottom of my toes. both times i guarantee i would have broken my foot or ankle with any other boots. these boots RULE! worth every penny! ![]() and yeah, your van kinda kicks ass. i have a Ford E350 but i wanted the Sprinter. gotta save my pennies for that.
