thx ...

Your explanations are 100% true ...

But it´s not up to me to judge ( or blame ) things I can not prove like a suspension that did not work well ,.. subjective things like the riding style...

As a rider who´s destroying tires for fun I have to understand the tire as a part of the whole system..

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to suggest this is proper use for these tires. It's purely out of necessity.

New piccies after a bit over 11.000km. Unfortunately the dealers in South Perth suck (they promised tires they never had and another one sold a rear with my name on it), so they will have to last another 1500km (compared to the photos) before I get my set in Esperance.

Sorry for the blurry pics, it was a bit dark in the workshop.

@ Mitas or anybody else who could answer this... I fitted the E-07's to my DR650 last week and then did a dual sport ride... they do work well even at road pressure

My question is, normally there is a dot or something that indicates the lightest point of the tyre, which is located at the valve.... I couldn't find this on the E-07's ???

Just looking at my post it didn't make that much sense. Sorry.

The question is most tyres have a yellow balance mark (lightest point of the tyre) on them and this is aligned with the valve stem (heaviest part of the rim) I cannot find this balancing mark on the Mitas E-07 tyre.
Is there a particular part of the tyre that you align with the valve stem ?

yellow dot (or other color on other tyres) in alignment with valve

Cool2 Tiger Tyres

Hi all,
I've been searching for the holy grail of tyres too. (Tiger 955i)
TKC's ok up front, on the rear they perform well but just don't last.
Metzeler Karoo’s last a bit longer but don't feel as planted when pushing on the tar.
So looking at the EO-7s or EO-9 Dakar, but will have to go down from the standard 150/70-17 to the 140/80-17 at present (no standard sizes available looking at the web site?
Any information on the above would be of assistance.
Cheers bwvtom

The E07 is coming in 150/17" pretty soon, there were already pictures of it. I guess not much chance for the Dakar in that size they have the E10 Adventure as well.

Btw...MITAS: would it be possible to extend the new website in a way that we can actually see all the tires, not just fighting through the tire selector, then trying to figure out the order numbers? It's a bit frustrating, I keep going back to the motorcycletyres.net.au website (but they don't list the EF series for example).

I heard you ... :-)
They should have a small white spot ... but .. if they measured ( at the tire uniformity machine) an unbalance below a certain value ... they did n´t mark it.

Thats why I´m asking ....
Is the tire slapping ( is there any unbalance ?)
