If you head into Ramona there's plenty of stuff north and east of there. There's also stuff up around Fallbrook, Tememcula and the NE side of Palomar mountain. I've got Garmin GPS tracks if you ever want to hit them.

You wouldn't be the first to get those two weekends twisted

One of the days over the long weekend I will be doing some exploring between my place in Rancho Bernardo out to Ramona and possible on to Julian. My intent is to find backroads/dirt roads (as much as possible) to get to the desert. I usually truck to Banner and drop the bike off and head across on Rodriguez Spur Trail and across ABD State Park and places east. If anyone has suggestions or gps tracks I would appreciate it.
