According to the good folks at the Mirage(outfitters at the midway point along the TT road) it seems this year there has been "a lot" of Les motorbikes travelling the TransTaiga!. First to attempt the road this year was a group of 11 riders,unfortunatley 2 riders crashed and were airlifted out; then there were the 2 single riders and then the 4 of us for a grand total of 17 bikes!.Somehow I thought we would see other riders but not to be, it is one of those rides where you really can sense the remoteness and experience wilderness; More than 1300 cliks of gravel that will keep you on your toes(anakees or not)....

The fact that there was piles of driftwood above our tents, kind of made me nervous. Stuck my head out of the tent a few times, to make sure the water hadn't risen.
