I have the guide that Seth talked about from T.M. Designworks. Seems pretty beefy. Got it at KTM twins.

In my opinion it's ALOT better looking than most of the "rally" or "adventure" fairings most of you 690 guys have cobbled onto your otherwise good looking 690's in an effort to make them look racey.
cases in point... ![]() ![]()

It looks line an F800, so why not eliminate the waiting period and just buy one of those. I think the true nature of the Rally fairing has more to do with function over form. Protecting the navigation equipment seems to be the point with some added wind protection for the rider at speed. Some people like to pretend a run to the store is a Dakar stage and that is fine, but that "adventure" is ugly for the sake of being ugly I think

Front Fork Sag
Got round to checking sag on the forks this morning and got some surprising results. At 230lb I got 30mm static and only 60mm rider sag. I was expecting significantly more rider sag.
This compares with 6mm static and 75mm rider sag on the rear (whilst trying to get to the manual's 70 -80 mm sag recommendation). So the question - are these progressive wound fork springs as delivered stock?

KTM accelerator module
does anyone have any idea what this: http://www.cyclopsadventuresports.co...roducts&id=158 is supposed to do? The description basically says that it "cures" the jerky throttle on ktm 690 and 990's, I'd never seen or heard of this part before and am curious just wtf it's supposed to do.
