Finally able to say a big thank you for your RR!!

Hi Cheryl and Leslie! back after a month in Cape Breton and New England. Took step dancing and piano accompaniment at the Gaelic College in St. Anns, Cape Breton. Rode the '09 Bonneville down and back. Couldn't get your blog there as on dial-up but just want to say that I have enjoyed your ride so much that it has been a highlight to my summer!!!
Love to ride in BC on my new-to-me DR200SE and I know you guys could point me in the right direction for some great dirt roads!
What more can be said...you have produced the very best RR I have ever had the pleasure to read!! What's next?? Labrador and Newfoundland???

All the best,
Sue from Georgian Bay, ON.

welcome back Sue! Hope you had a great time in New England...you were hanging out in one of my most favorites parts of the country. We really want to ride those areas in the east sometime early fall one year. I lived in NH for a few summers while in University and just loved it.

Thanks for your thank you. DR200SE? Nice!!!!!!!! Anytime you are out our way you will have a nice comfy home to layover while you explore our Province. In the lower mainland there are tons of interesting and fun roads. Thanks again for you nice compliments on our RR....seems so long ago but I have to admit I find myself reading over the RR and BLOG quite a bit because I never did while on the road. I think I am only up to day 29... Leslie

Some of our Favorite Pics

Finally I have loaded some of our favorite pictures to our smugmug account and just posting them here as I go through them. While we miss the Tiger street comfort one thing is for sure getting almost 60 MPG commuting to work on our Beemers is not such a bad thing with gas prices the way they are.

Trying to update this RR

I have tried to add the "Best" of the pictures from our trip twice now and they seem to be getting nuked. Thought it would be a nice idea to add highlighted pictures of the trip all in a few posts instead of having to search the days and look through hundreds of pictures. So, I am working on this and trying see where my posts are going.

Why we rode for Autism, our neighbour Nico….such an awesome little man! (ACT)

One of the highlights was watching this Grizzly family for almost 2 hours

We will post some of our favorite pictures periodically….posting directly to the blog allows us for better quality versus using a blog program like we did on the road.

This picture meant a lot to us because in the summer 2010 on our way home from New York we had to pass this only to be able to return this summer 2011 to make that right hand turn up the Alaska Highway….that was an awesome feeling!

And this is why we adventure ride…roads to no where and some where…the best of times was when we saw no cars or even other bikers. Just the two of us for mile and miles!

Well, seeing other bikers every so often not so bad!

More later!

Wow!

What a joy to see all those great photos again!!!!! In one place!!!!! The memories of what you wrote about when they were originally posted come streaming back. I can't help but repeat that the wet condition of the Dempster is downright scary! Getting less so as I ride the wee DR200 but on a full-sized GS I can't imagine me having any constipation problems!!!! I think I'd get so catatonic that I'd just start crying
