After coming out in Red Lodge I headed for Glacier.
After a lengthy wait for road construction ![]() I ended up in a RV park in Conrad MT, run but this delightful lady ![]() She charged me $12 and then brought me a new razor and gum compliments of the chamber of commerce. After a while she came back by and gave me the wireless key, not bad for 12 bucks a night. |

And that pretty much wrapped up the goals I had for the trip. I had thought about heading into Canada, But if I did 500 miles days I was 4 days from home and I like to leave a couple extra days in case I encounter any problems. The bike had been a little slow turning over in the cold mountain mornings, I was bit afraid the battery might be going.
![]() I never did see a Griz, or a black bear for that matter. |

I made it home tonight. I put in a couple 700 mile days coming home and went through Chicago to make it interesting. I don't recommend you try either.
I will post up some stats from the trip as soon as I get them calculated. |

Things I added for this trip:
I don't have a regular waterproof MS GPS, but I bought a RAM mount for my TOMTOM auto GPS and man it was nice having that thing. Not only for navigation, but to let me know how many miles till destination, just a nice thing to have. I also added a Britannia Composites screen. This allowed me to adjust the screen to shoot the wind up over my helmet. Things I wished I had tried for the trip: LD Comfort shorts Some sort of cruise control or even a cramp buster. rockinrog screwed with this post 09-14-2011 at 10:17 AM |

Those are some long days! I averaged 400 per day on my last trip and that was about perfect. Nice pics!
