Interim update by an interloper

I had the joy and privilege of riding and camping with the Mobius duo, with Alberta Strom, for a few days. Great company - great riding! I had to slab it home after three days, as I had a commitment.
Here are a few pictures to make you appreciate DR. Rock's great photos. (don't forget the infa-red Dave)

Monkey on Her back Maybe adventure riding IS addictive

Approaching the Cardinal River Valley (I think). One of many great vistas.

Later that day, we camped at the Columbia Icefields on the Icefields Parkway. The next morning was pretty chilly, but made for some beautiful cloud/mountain action, here at Saskatchewan River Crossing.

The riders. They are laughing at me because I did a "Laugh In" style tip-over in the parking lot.

Along the way - broke up the boredom of pavement by stopping at some must see's (along with about 10 million bus tourists). One of the best was Bow Summit, Peyto Lake and Peyto Glacier. Breathtaking no matter how many times you've seen it.

Camped at a recreation area on the Kooteny River - it doesn't get any better than this
Alberta Strom tests the waters. Do I need to say

This little beach..

had a little - I don't know - ??shrine on it. Probably just made by kids, but I was thinking "Blaire Witch Project"

There was also a memorial to a a fellow - I assume a paddler.

Sadly, next morning we parted. I went to Radium Hot Springs and left about ten pounds of dust in the hot pool
then headed home via Canmore, with some indelible memories.
These guys are the BEST!
Good luck in Idaho!

Sotwalla

Looks like they are staying in Wallace Idaho at the Stardust motel where me and dingleweeds stayed last year.

Which is next door to this.

And hopefully they got to hear James and his band play--they are awesome.

Wallace is one of the neatest towns I've ever been to.

A small taste

What a great week! Wonderful company and terrific riding. My first DS camping trip on the new DR650 and who better to learn the tricks from than the Mobius crew....and learn a lot I did. From very cold camping at 6200' to riverside beach camping. I can't wait to read the story of the rest of the trip.

It was great to have folknride along with his mad camping skills. To witness his triumph over the Elk River Road and lighten up a very cold morning with his little tip over were memorable highlights.

Thank you Mobius for allowing me to tag along

Village Kitchen in Priest River Idaho. (highly recommended)

Athabasca Falls Jasper Alberta

Skilled rider... wheelies too much, keeps busting brake light

Where is that sweet smell coming from?

Mr. happy puppet doesn't have a passport, hoping he doesn't get torn apart like the yoot's car ahead.

Ride safe guys, hope to see you again real soon.

Update: arrived safely @ idaho falls. Spending quality time with motoadventuregal & questor; feasting like royalty, bike maintenance today. Plotting to overthrow all world governments. It's an idaho thing.

You two are fantastic.

Do your medical career friends have any clue how deep into this you are? I doubt it. Totally badass.

Keep on keepin' on!

Glad to see you made it to Idaho Falls and I assume home sweet home. Just wanted to say thanks again for letting me tag along for a few miles, made the Magruder corridor that much more enjoyable.
I made it to the coop the morning of the 25th, ordered new tires, replaced that crapper stove with a Primus multi fuel ( who says I can't be taught) new boots and hand guards were on the porch waiting for me, better late than never.
Was great to ride with such fun folks in beautiful country.

NOW GIT TO POSTING YOU SLACKER

mobius 8

Great to hear from you Dave, Ron and JD and thanks for posting. It was great to ride along with you all during mobius 8 and spend time with you great folks.

It may be a while before we (ughhmm, Dave) gets to posting as we have some major road blocks with a DSL burn out upon our return. Currently waiting for a new router from verizon to be delivered and hope to have all systems up and running soon so we can get to downloading mobius 8 photos.

Hope you all stay tuned as it was a great ride from beginning to end .

Well, if you two didn't live so far in to the boondocks, your internet connection would be more reliable!

Anxiously awaiting for the next installment and videos of your wheelies LDF.
