Empty rough two-track dirt-only on the edge of Wilderness, and empty smooth two-lane forest pavement. Our DS bikes get to enjoy the best of both worlds on one ride in one day. Unplated dirtbikes and cruisers don't know what fun they're missing.

Anyone reading this is invited
Hood River Upper Valley Rally ??I'm hosting a small 10-20 person ADV ride/BBQ/campfire/campover-in-the-yard gig at my house near Parkdale on the October Weekend of the 8th & 9th. I'm plotting a series of rides from Pavement, to Dual Sport, to Dirtbike (OHV Pass required, if it rains good and they open it back up). Several self-guided GPS tracks and maps and one good DS ride guided by me (on 990). Lemme know if you want a paper map with route hand-written, and I'll get one ahead of time @ the Forest Service for $5 Plenty of tent space (5 acres) (even indoors in Garage and storage if it rains) All Food for breakfast & coffee, lunch, and BBQ dinner !! will be handled by my wife and I, with small donations accepted only just to cover our food costs, so nobody has to haul extra food and stove stuff. Come on up !! . Anytime Saturday, or even Friday evening.PM me for addy & phone #s - Jeff

Sounds like fun for sure. Apple house has a hell of a view and it well smack dab in some great slab and of course right next to the never ending trails of The Hood. I'll be on the road of course getting home 3 days after your done unless you get some hard core ADV'ers
.Have fun all... Quote:

Mmmmaybe.... http://www.accuweather.com/us/or/hoo...ls.asp?fday=11
Not that I'm a wuss, but I'm a wuss. If I show, I will commute- my tent is in the shop. To simplify doubt in the headcount for food, figure me as a no-show. If I make it, I can eat on the way to/from.

In FACT.... I have an old beater Motorhome (that runs good and looks...well...,OK ), that I ripped out all the convertible bed/table/couch crap, built a platform and it has a normal & proper Queen-Size Matress, with clean sheets, and a HEATER. I've already given you dibs on it, Mort ![]() Several ADVers have spent the night in it, even Easy-Z; it's our "Guest Suite" We'll get food last minute, so we can plan for whatever.

But, you are right, there's nothing quite like a dust-free trail.
