What, in your opinion, has the better protection, the Sidi adv, or the new Midland? Are they in the same class?

Thanks

Quoth Dorzok, it's a BMW. just activate the levitation function that's part of the optional accessory outer space adventure package.

Hi G-Goat.

The Sidi Adventure has more protection, by virtue of having more plastic. They are more similar to the Sidi Discovery. FWIW I am a fan of Sidi but not a fan of the Adventures.

I definitely feel they are in the same league. In general, I feel these two brands make the best boots in the world. IMO Gaerne is the best FITTING boot in the world.

Hope that helps.

Hi Thom.

In the pics they look tall, but that is somewhat because they are a size 8 and the proportions are misleading. I do not feel they will have any issues with toebox height, but I cannot give you a comparative pic until they arrive.

Hope that helps.

Sweet.
I was about to drop funds on Sidi Adv boot, but I can wait.

BP,
I joined Atomic's mailing list and subscribed here. That enough to keep me in-the-know on availability?

EDIT... Nevermind. Found them at the site. I really need to pay attention.

Are they really waterproof? I've yet to find a waterproof boot that stays waterproof more than one rain storm.

Why aren't you a fan of the Sidi Adventure?

Do you have any expected date of arrival?

Do you use them and if so how are they?
Would you buy them yourself over any other Gaerne Boot?

I have not been able to use them, they're a size 8 and I am a 12. They fit a little small compared to other Gaernes, more like the G-Adventure than the Balance or SG10.

I have been a devotee of the Balance boots, but based on the add'l ankle support I definitely plan to get these. I think the design is a great match for ADV and dual sport.

BP,
What I really want to know is an Updated ETA. I'm sure there are many others that would like a gauge on this as well.
Atomic-Moto is great on service and customer support and I do understand reluctance to state a date but it would be very helpful to have an idea. Not holding you to a date mind you just a guesstimate.

Do you have a sign up list so we can be notified when we can start placing orders?

No problem, I agree with you. I will update shortly and set up the wish list.
