I bought the GS911 in January of this year and only have MAC and Iphone...I bought an older pc laptop to use for now but not sure how long it will last. What can I do to use with my Macbook Pro?

Hey folks, please remember my previous post regarding the invoice. I would get an old copy of Windows XP and get Parallels for your Mac. It runs in coherence, so you can stay in OSX and have XP running in the background without even noticing it is there.

I wanted to see how my Droid 3 phone would work when my GS-911 arrives, so I went ahead and downloaded the verifier application. I had used it once before a couple of years ago with my original Droid.

Then I remembered I needed a JRE to run it, and picked up netmite, which I had used in the past for this purpose.

It didn't work.

Then I discovered that there is a beta version of an Android app available through hexcode.co.za, via their installer software. This runs on the PC, and apparently once a GS-911 is connected to it it will give you links and such to download the various applications.

Since it's native Android, I expect it will work. I forget whether the site said you need Android 2.0+ or 2.2+, but either is fine in my case.

Cool, sounds like you are on it. Let me know if you run into any problems. I don't have a Droid, but I understand it needs to be a version 2.0 or newer so it sounds like you are good to go.

I have a customer out in the middle of nowhere on a group ride with a warning light on. Of course the rider's manual tells him to check the oil and otherwise "take it to the nearest dealer" . He made the mistake of leaving home without a GS911.

He just placed his order for a GS911 and is paying for overnight Saturday delivery so he can read out his codes and find out what's going on.

Thanks for the quick shipping. I got my unit today, and within a few minutes I had everything set up for my Droid3 to talk to it. They're happy with each other, and I expect they'll be even happier when I plug the thing in to the diagnostic port for some data.

It's nice and compact, and there's no reason I can't take it with me on trips.
