Carbon tanks have a habit of leaking, so I hear.

The above is not the same bike, mine is the new 449/511, that is a 450/510. Nothing is interchangeable. I wish I could have found a bolt on kit. Unfortunately there isn't currently anything available. I am using a few bits from the BMW G450X but they all need to be modified to mount to the Husky 449.

Bill, have you checked these guys out?

http://youtu.be/L-BHrHl5Hns

some pics:

this was briefly discussed over at the Cafe Husky forums a while back (when I was still debating on going for the new 511)
http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/suc...2/#post-158353

IIRC the above were developed by a Chilean team (Bimota - Husqvarna), no contact details though,
except for a small interview in spanish with their rider Manuel Jamett:

Bill, Bianchi Prata in Portugal run the 449's too, they have used a large 'plastic' front tank (looks like a Safari Tank) and custom rear tank;

http://www.bianchiprata.com/primeirapagina.php

I have bought stuff from them in the past, they are eager to assist

I contacted Safari after seeing that and they confirmed some people were using their 450X tanks on TEs but that they were modifying them to fit themselves. Safari are still developing one for the TE.
