BigTodd, GK_the_German, Buster and I rode up together this morning. 3 GSA's and an F800 GS. For whatever reason, I missed the 14 fwy exit and just kept riding thinking it was up near Castaic or something. Sorry!

We went up to the 134 then back east towards the 14. However, Buster was low on gas and we barely made it to the gas station. We showed up in Mojave at about 9:15.

From there we went over to California City and got started in the dirt there. We did a rather boring but fast dirt highway straight to J'berg, then over to the Husky monument. We lost Sean for a bit then found him. We took a brief detour too courtesy of Danny G. Finally made it to the Husky and were treated to quite a few sonic booms from jets overhead.

After that we went over to Cuddleback dry lake bed breifly, then back across 395 to that wooden tower thing. Back home at 5:30. 400 miles in total; about 90 of that dirt.

you made it.

next summer, ill get there.

One rogue herd rider back home.
Thanks guys.
Nightmare Gulch is a dream! (even on the big skinny gal)
I could have used slightly lower gearing, though.

Panamint Valley may never be the same...

Looks like fun. I gotta get the armor on my 610 and get it dirty! I didn't know about the Husky Monument until tonight.

The other guys captured the ride report pretty well, so since I am lazy, I'll just post up the pictures. See a few posts up for the GPS tracks map photo.

Just to be accurate, I buried the rear wheel in 1st gear (wasn't using 2nd gear like Jimmy Lewis taught us), so I laid the bike over to free the rear wheel (like Jimmy taught us). But the to get it going I stupidly tried 1st gear again. Danny G held up two fingers telling me "try second gear." And of course, it worked.
