Wickenberg winter ride.

I have some pics of the trip to the staging area and I hope the other guys that take lots of pics will fill in the rest.

Here is one of the top pieces off the avalanche. I had to break the ice to get it off.

The grass area by the house was a little frozen as well.

On the way I could see the mountains right by us got snow.

And a better look as I got closer.... why am I going riding

These guys must have thought it was to cold on the ground

It was currently this cold...

and the roads were looking worse as i drove on

And by the time I was half way to Wickenberg it looked like there had been no rain or ice anywhere over in this area. Would turn out to be a great day for a ride... hopefully pics to be added.

The ice wasn't quite as thick in Chandler, but I did have to scrape my windshield!

On the way to Wickenburg there was a swath of snow/ice across the desert.

I don't have many ride pics since we were moving right along, but I have RidingSolo, Refokus, Slowred and Reidy008 here.

And 4play heading out.

And ME! All bundled up for the cold.

There are a lot of mining remnants in the area. We rode past this cool old stone house. Nice view!

I presume you live up in the snow area and drive down to the plain to ride the bikes ?

Flat landers

No everyone lives in the Phoenix area and we are all flatlanders. Why did you presume that?

I forgot to take my camera with me this week, so I will have to post the photos that I took when I return home this weekend. I didn't get many, like Yardstick says, we were moving along at a pretty good pace. Maybe close to 17 average HTM......
