This thread is fascinating so far! Just out of curiosity, how did you managed to get three new bikes? Is it all funded through sponsorship and donations or are you funding this yourself? Best of luck, dude

I work for the BMW Performance Center as a driving and motorcycle instructor. We use Husqvarnas in some of our programs. Husqvarna USA has helped out with loaning bikes to me. They would love to see a true Husqvarna 449 finnish the race. Even though Husqvarna provided some bikes I am a true privateer. I am responsible entirely for my race. I have gotten some sponsorship through the Performance Center, several product sponsors, and have raised money from donations, auction and shwag sales. I have also put a ton of my own money toward this. Everyone's support has really made this possible, from the financial to the encouragement.

Good luck with the race! Saw the video and the bike looks amazing. Do you know what the front/back sprocket ratios will be for the Dakar?

Visas aren't required in any of the countries if your stay is less than 90 days. Also, the ASO handles all of their border crossings.

I didnt really even have a Visa for Australia. I had something but it was all electronic and after I filled out the online form it was just electronically tagged to my passport.
