mji294, I am interested in making a couple of racks for those bikes. I'll get hold of you as soon as I'm done with the two projects I'm finishing up in about a week or so.

Jonathan, I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your bike with my totally tubular rack on it. I'll let you know as soon as I have one available. I have a few other people interested as well, so I'll make up five or six of them and one will be yours.

I just finished a new prototype rack and wanted to post up a quick pic. This one is made with round tubing and has the RotopaX option and bungee loops.

Hi Jackpiner57,

Just found this thread. These are sweet. Put me on the list for a DR650 rack (round or square tubing would be fine). I've got the Dirtbagz as well, so hoping for the dimensions suggested by Eakins, but DB rack compatible --I understand that this may be difficult....

Hi Porrick, I haven't made any DR racks yet. I have a mock up and will make a test rack from it that will have to be tested for fit on an unmodified DR650 before I build a jig for it. I will let you know when I have that R&D done.

Here is the newest rack design with the RotopaX option and it's powder coated! All of the new ones will come powder coated for better abrasion resistance.

Unfortunately, I have to bring at least 15 of them to the powder coater to get a good deal. I better get to work.

Thank YOU Roy, I'm glad you like it. It would be great if you could post a pic of your DRZ with the rack loaded up with gear sometime. I'm always curious what kind of luggage riders are using with my rack. - Tom

Bugsy, the price with loops and the RotopaX option is $114.00 US plus shipping. I haven't shipped to Canada yet, so I will get pricing and let you know how much it is. Thanks, Tom
