Couple of questions:
1) I tend to crash the 450 a lot. 2) If pieces break, most notably the fibreglass fairing, or one of the metal plates, or something, will you be selling replacement pieces separately? 3) Does it feel like there is a lot of pendulum-weight over the front end, with the GPS/roadbook/lights far out in front of the triple clamp? 4) Once you get used to it, how quick is it to R&R the setup for tight trail riding? I wouldn't want to destroy it in the singletrack. dc edit: sorry, just saw Ned's answer to #4. About an hour, looks like. |

This setup is testing really, really tough. Ned and I have beat the s*&t out of these for ~3K miles combined. Proving to be tougher than we expected. And I wreck my 530 a lot!! #2 Yes will will be offering the components for sale separately as crash replacement parts. Supports will have a warranty, I will have those terms worked out by the time we are taking full orders. #3 This setup rides like a dirt bike unless the tank is full. I have thrown it around on single track many times. Only additional weight I feel is of the gas. You can also take Ned's word for it; Quote:

what's the breakdown on the Rigid LED Dually & D2?
I take it one is more of a flood beam and one more of a spot beam?

Dually has a spot pattern. D2 has much wider pattern (flood) and has a narrow beam slightly brighter within. When both are on... look out! Super bright! From what I understand. You can get other beam patterns (reflectors) from Rigid. (haven't looked into detail yet) *edit: You will need a stator upgrade to run both. You can run the dually only with the stock stator. |

Nice, can the Dually remotely pass as a low beam if aimed down?

I have been in the situation where I had to use a bit of road at night. Support is designed to be able to tilt the lights up and down. Earlier I had adjusted the Dually, tilted it down a bit. I did not blind anyone and did not get any brights flashed at me. The pattern was tight on the road and useful. c.vestal screwed with this post 12-18-2011 at 08:02 AM |

Nice, Thanks!
Now where are those extra pictures? I'm really interested in the kit, but need to justify the expense.
