I was asking Dave about that a few months ago at a local trail ride. It is funny how he acts like it really wasn't a big deal, he said motorcycle boots are a lot like a cast anyway. He claimed the only really hard part was when his electric start broke and he had to kick start the bike.

I can only hope to be this tough if I go through something like that.
