.. Here we go .. This company makes the Model 700, one of the most popular firearms ever manufactured in just about every caliber imaginable at one time or another - though they don't actually make them here - they are located in the town I call home.

The US Army calls their version the M24, and the US Marines have designated theirs as the M40.

Safety first - the entrance is at the traffic light across from the nearby WalMart and there is no easy turnaround when coming from the west (going east) -

Hint - east of the home of the Fighting Pheonix, or you can bring your clubs and play a round at the nearby links .. To be honest, google maps will clearly show you the location once you get the name.

Tag 5

An active patriot militia leader in what is now Stokes County during the Revolutionary War.* Following the war, he became a life-long public servant for Stokes County.* He served in the North Carolina state legislature and as a judge for over 30 years.* Known locally as “Jack,” he was also the builder of the famous Rock House, one of Stokes County’s oldest landmarks.*

Someone will have to snap a pic of this tag next spring with the dead grass where someone beat a path through the grass with frost on it

Need some input ..

... here's what we have been talking about ..

With I-77 as the Western Boundary .. using Surry, Stokes, Rockingham, Caswell, Yadkin, Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Iredell, Rowan, Davie, Davidson, Randolph, Cabarrus, Stanly, Montgomery.

Let me know what y'all think and I'll swap it out in the 1st post ..

The more I look at it the more I think we should cut Montgomery, Cabarrus and Stanley counties. I am willing to leave the additions, I just loathe the thought of riding towards Charlotte and that whole Suburb area. I did not mind Montgomery county because of the uwharri forest, plus there is some decent riding. Everytime I have been close to Charlotte, I ensure my life insurance is paid up.

I've always considered Wake County to be central NC...

Good game, folks. Looks like it's moving along really well!

I like having Rowan and eastern Iredell. If anyone tries to tag in Cabarrus they will probably be kilt and that will take care of that. I don't have a problem cutting out Montgomery, Cabarruss and Stanley. After all it is North Central.
