Looking for a fun dual sport trail from I-15 in So Cal to Phoenix
Hey guys,
My Dad & I are planning a ride to Phoenix. He live's in the Lake Elsinore area so we were thinking of starting there & heading south on the 15, then east to pick up any cool trail out to Phoenix. I was poking around on Google earth & the best I could find was to run from the 15 out thru ocotillo then near Glamis then following a Canal Trail or Train Track trail. Anyone got any info on some good dual sport trails between here & there? We are both single track trail riders on our regular MX bikes, but we both picked 640 Adventure R's for dual sporting so we kinda want to hit as many good trails as we can and avoid as much paved or grated dirt road as we can. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Bryan BRYANDENNY71 screwed with this post 03-16-2011 at 09:38 PM |

A few years ago a group of us did a DS loop from Wickenberg to Parker to Barstow to Primm to Needles to Wickenberg. Our tracks and some pictures are here:
http://www.dualsportmaps.com/?id=tracks under the title Mojave 1000. We were riding KLR 650s and KTM 640s. Some of the stuff we did was a little difficult on for a couple of the guys on these bikes. But if you are good single track riders, you would probably enjoy the harder stuff. I can also send you our tracks and a trip report if you PM me your email address. |
