The Acerbis 5.8g tank is the same tank for the XR250/400/600/650L. It is just that the 250/400, 600, and 650L all use different mounting hardware. We should have the correct hardware to install these on the 600 pretty soon.

We have learned that the XR600 Tanks will be a special order only. (3 Months) We have had customers fit the XR400 tanks on with the included hardware.

So, I see you list the 6 gallon Acerbis tank to fit the '95-'02 Yamaha XT600. I thought that the '90-'95 models had no changes to the frame, perhaps only the side panels is what might have changed after '95. Is it safe to assume that the Acerbis tank will fit '90-'95 models as well?

Acerbis actually made a different part number for the 1990-94 models. We just cannot ge this anymore. I am not sure if they will fit...Sorry!

Sorry for the late reply. I talked with them and they had put this on the back burner due to the Jonah Street Dakar Project, and the holidays. They are going to finish this up and I will post any new info we get.

We do not have any of these yet(IMS or Safari) . They are done and I am getting 2 for the media this week.. We are trying to figure out the best way to get these over without putting them on the next container as it will tak 6-8 weeks. Its possible we might air freight a pallet or 2 over soon!

Its possible it will fit over the frame but the mount kit would probably be a bit different.
