Sunday January 22nd Ride
Ride Tomorrow!!! For most, Big Bike friendly. Meet at the Shell Station 1 mile West of Kinney Road on Ajo. Let's say 9:00 AM with plans to leave at 9:30 AM. This is the so called "Death in the Desert" ride to Arivaca. Skip has done it on a 1200 GS to give you some indication. Goodtimes routinely does this on his 800 GS. Plan on the ride being 5-6 hours. It is more challenging on a big bike as there are washes and some small climbs. We will grab a bite to eat and if you need, gas in Arivaca then decide to slab back or come back in the desert.

If I came down from Arivaca, where and when do you leave the pavement? Maybe I can meet you there. .

Why don't you meet us about 4 miles East of Sasbee Road (386) on Ajo? I don't know the name of the road we take off Ajo, but it is about 8-10 miles dead straight (SOUTH) (it will be on your right, our left). About halfway up this road there is a pizza joint and a gas station if that helps. Where this road make a 90 degree turn we go straight on dirt there. You could meet us on Ajo around 9:45. My cell is 317-441-3624.

Andy: The road south from Ajo is Sierrita Mountain Road. It ceases to be paved where it meet Diamond Bell Ranch Road. You could turn off of 286 onto the Diamond Bell Ranch Road and meet us at Sierrita Mountain Road. It looks like I'll get to ride tomorrow as Brenda is doing well. I should make the Shell station about 9:15, giving me time to get gas and for Allyn to rag on me a bit.

Guys, I have to bail on this even though I am the organizer. I have been working on the BRP all day and put a new carb on it, but of course now the jetting is all messed up. Sorry!

Up and ready.
Even though I spent a little too much time at the La Gitana last night (they had a band), I'm up and planning on going.
I also have a lot to do today so if it's canceled or there is no one with the route I'd like to know now. Andy 520/398-8049

Ditto!
Well, it is now 7:47 and I have to start dressing and leave by 8 to ensure making the Shell station by 9:15. I'll pass and ride locally later in the day. No point in running off to a maybe ride.
