Here's the link to the pics I took during the mod. They're in reverse order so go to page to and work your way backwards. http://s866.photobucket.com/albums/a...cpZZ1QQtppZZ20

Aha! good thinking. I did not think of that when I tried to pop mine off several years ago. As it was an extra light at that point I just went ahead and cut the back housing off as I only wanted the lens. But...in the future I will remember the oven trick. Thanks

Glues vary. . . . I just separated the headlight lens tonight, it took a few tries for 10 min at about 275 degrees, and plenty of prying to get the glue to soften and the headlight to come apart. The H1 projectors seem to fit behind the lens just fine, I won't have much time to work on it tonight though.

You guys seem pretty far along, here are some other suggestions.
The 690 Duke has twin under/over projector beams so there may be oem brackets and projectors you could start from. KTM Twins has the Rally Raid faring link Or Touratech has the whole set up Link I lucked into a bike all set up

Do you need to fabricate any brackets or anything in order to do this modification? I am woefully unable, ill equipped, an inexperienced to be doing that...
