Fresh off the showroom floor this morning, Newcastle NSW Australia
#3891 Left home this morning on this... ![]() Picked up the new bike. ![]() First mud, 42 km from dealership. ![]() Curses! Freshly laid bitumen and the bike was less than an hour old! ![]() On the back road home. ![]() New Enduro lid does not disguise my melon head well enough, but is light and very comfy and quiet. Must get tinted visor to avoid frightening small children. ![]() And back in Dungog. "Dungog" means "land of many pot holes" in the aboriginal language.* ![]() *Not actually true. It really means 'land of scarcely wooded hills'.

Here's Mine.... 5760
Purchased my 30th Anny last October from Adventure BMW in Chesapeake, VA. Number 5760, and have been loving it since Day 1!
![]() Took it to the Mines and Meadows Rally in Wampum, PA.... ![]() Also there, I purchased some excellent AltRider gear! ![]() Last month, I went to the Allegheny Mountains here in Virginia with some buddies ![]() and we crossed some streams... ![]() And another one... ![]() Ahhhh, a short break ![]() And then, we pressed on into West Virginia, where I tested the Altrider headlamp guard when I hit a sloppy spot and the bike ran into the mountain (better than going to the right and off of the mountain! Ah, I love field repairs with zip-ties!!! ![]() All in all, an incredible bike and a ton of fun!!! It can take you anywhere... ![]() And most importantly, it will get you home, or back to the camp site to tell stories with friends and relax while quaffing a cold one! Prost!!! ![]() ![]() Buck Recon_Buck screwed with this post 04-14-2011 at 07:07 AM |

Congratulations, you lucky SOB !

30th Anniversary thinks it's a sport bike!
My latest (and greatest?) video with the Drift 170HD POV camera and my 2010 1200GSA 30th anniversary. Still just using WLMM free software but I am getting better at splicing up different takes and coordinating with music.
Whatcha all think? |
