Zumo 550 loses power in cradle
I have a Zumo 550 I bought used about two years ago. I use it on the bike and in the car.
In the past few months, I've periodically had problems where it will lose external power while plugged into the cradle. This happens in both the car and bike (though, might not be for the same reason). The Zumo will go to the screen, "Continue on battery power?" as if I unplugged it.
On the bike this is particularly infuriating, because I have to stop, and re-seat the GPS a few times. Sometimes, tapping it or wiggling it will cure the problem. I've tried replacing the electrical harness cable and the cradle.
A couple weeks ago, I checked the electrical contacts, and I observed that the one which mates up with what I believe is the power pin appeared to be worn:
Is it possible this is the source of my problems?
Is this a known issue?
Is there a cure?
