Engine case re-assembly trick......

.........If you have trouble keeping the transmission countershaft, or kickstart shaft in place, here's a trick I used on my GT-550 roadracer: smear a thin coating of cup-grease on any outside bearing races that try to tilt up from the bottom case. When that happens, getting them to relocate over the dowel-pins properly is a major pain-in-the-ass. The grease is sticky enough to hold things in place against gravity and leverage for a few moments - plenty enough time to locate the top case-half properly. It won't hurt any nearby seals, nor foul the gearbox oil.

Granted, with your 6-speed gearbox and kick-start only GT-380, this may not be an issue...... but just in case, yanno!
